This course is intended to define the competencies of those who work with learners after training/facilitation, and possibly assessment, has happened.

 This course is intended to deal with that kind of training/facilitation that moves a person from a relatively generic skill in their area of learning, to direct application within a particular context or work environment. 

This course is intended for a range of people, including managers, supervisors, mentors, operators who may not be ETD specialists, but who know the job/application, and are able to help people move from a generic skill to a particular application within the workplace. This course is not meant to be just about inducting a person into their job, rather, it is about actual training in the particular application after a person has already developed the core skills involved.

Study Pathway

This course forms part of the following qualifications:

National Certificate: 

This is an accredited course with the Services SETA

Classroom Based: 

  • Contact Phase: 4 days
  • Preparation of POE & Summative Assessment: up to 6 weeks.

Online Learning: 

  • Online learning will take at least 6-8 weeks to complete this course. You will be required to complete an online test after you have completed each lesson.
  • Preparation of POE & Summative Assessment: up to 6-8 weeks.
  • You will be required to attend at least one contact day on this course.

Two Certificates are issued under this course:

First Certificate – Certificate of Completion will be issued once you have completed the online course successfully. This certificate will be the same as a Certificate of Attendance.

Second Certificate – Certificate of Competence will be issued once you have completed all of the necessary assessments and assignments successfully.
